Da' T.R.U.T.H. is one of the most talented and impactful rappers today. Gospel Rappers see themselves as preachers ( and some are ordained) and carriers of God's message. In fact the Bible says that Jesus came to heal the sick and came so that we may have life and have it more abundantly. Today's Gospel Rappers take this charge very seriously. Our culture is dominated by Hip Hop so it makes sense that they communicate God's word in a way that today's generation can understand. http://youtube.com/watch?v=GOPc3nHRGxQ

Cross Movement is a group that uses rap as a vehicle to preach the Lord's word. Cross Movement is considered "Old School" and are some of the pioneers of Gospel Rap. As one of the industries most prolific groups they are responsible for raising up a new generation of anointed Gospel Rapers; ready to allow God's word to define their lives and transform others. Listen to how this group raps God's word (the scriptures); WOW, it is powerful http://youtube.com/watch?v=g0Vgk2sn5R8.

The G.R.I.T.S stands for "Grammatical Revolution In The Spirit" and their ability to deliver God's word in a way that is appealing to the youth is captivating; not to mention it encourages young people to learn about the man we call Jesus. This dynamic duo (Coffee and Bonafide) hails from Nashville, Tenneesse and characterizes their musical style as Southern Rap and call themselves the "Tenneesse Bwoys". The cool thing about this group is even those who do not believe in God (yet) love their music and respect their lyrical skills. A number of their songs have appeared in and on popular (secular) TV shows and movies such as the MTV show-My Super Sweet Sixteen, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift http://youtube.com/watch?v=jSBI3lK5Gho and Big Momma's House 2 just to name a few.

Gospel and Rap seems like an oxymoron however, The Word (The Bible) says there is nothing new under the sun. Therefore rap is not new for God or God's people. Gospel means "Good News" and rappers are poets who tell a story through words and music. So, armed with that information it is easy to see how these seemingly different positions could and do blend together nicely. The Bible has is the number one selling book in the world and rap the number one genre again this exemplifies the compatibility of these two forms of expression to flurish and reach millions/billions of people. Listen to some of Gospel Rap's ambassadors.
